Kristianne & Lucas

Kristianne & Lucas

Virtually meeting this couple was so cute & special for me. I had them fill out a questionnaire to get to know them as a couple. I felt as if our relationships were kindred spirits. I love when I can hit it off with those I work with. Kristianne & Lucas were an absolute dream to design for.

Without knowing, they pushed me creatively. Their color palette was that of a sunset but mostly focusing on orange, yellow, and red. A color combo I wouldn’t normally gravitate towards. As an artist I’ll always find ways to improve, but for where I was at in my career I am happy about the results.

This wedding landed right at the beginning of spring. Which meant I could get my hands on some mimosa. I love how bouncy and whimsical mimosa can be once you remove the foliage.

The bridal color palette had a stronger focus on red and peach. I’d been wanting to get my hands on the graffiti anthuriums. I love looking back and reflecting on my work. Now I can totally see I made decisions based on items I’d love to work with and designed around those. I know now that I have a small aspect of that in my design style but I love the idea of gravitating away from that being my design foundation.
